Duan Shiwen introduced the main work of the China Food Rumor Repelling Alliance from 2018 to 2019. The alliance regularly releases food rumor refutation information, holds forums to build communication platforms, and strengthens communication to promote self-construction. With the support of various departments and units, some achievements have been made. Statistics show that from 2018 to 2019, the Anti-Rumor Alliance published more than 30 original authoritative anti-rumour information, and the alliance website published and reposted more than 1,500 pieces of relevant food science information.
"We have promptly refuted the rumors that salt contains potassium ferrocyanide and garlic causes cancer. The content of the refuted rumors has been well disseminated and played a greater role in curbing rumors." Duan Shiwen said.
Today, with the rise of short videos, food rumors have many new features, such as visual presentation and socialized transmission paths. Food rumors spread in the form of visually stunning videos, which are more deceptive than written rumors. Duan Shiwen said that in order to cope with the new changes, the corresponding science popularization rumor mechanism must also keep up with the pace. The China Food Rumor Elimination Alliance will establish a cooperation mechanism with relevant universities and professional institutions to realize food rumor rumors by shooting popular science promotional videos and short videos. The multimedia dissemination of content popularizes popular science knowledge to the public in a more intuitive and vivid form.
It is understood that the China Food Rumor Repelling Alliance (CFRA) was established in August 2015 with the support of the former Ministry of Agriculture, the Central Cyberspace Administration of China, the former General Administration of Food and Drug Administration, the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and Xinhua News Agency. Established jointly by institutions and industry workers. Since its establishment, the alliance has continued to crack down on food rumors and has done its best to eliminate online food rumors. At the same time, it has focused on the social mechanism of rumor formation and dissemination, explored the self-discipline mechanism for all relevant parties in the field of food safety information dissemination, and strived to accumulate experience for innovative network social governance models .
